DESCRIPTION: Concordia University in Irvine, California (http://www.cui.edu/) is searching for an intern based in the University's Representative Office in Lujiazui, Shanghai. The position will report to the Dean (Dr. Eugene Kim) and will assist in related duties and responsibilities. Past interns have commented that their experience has been life-changing, unique and influential to their future success.
 
CONTRACT TERM: September – March 31, 2015
 
WORKING HOURS
Office: 9am—5pm; 3-4 days/week, approximately 25-30 hours per week)
Home: Flexible, self-scheduled according to project deadlines (5 hours per week)
Travel: Travel and work trips within and outside of Shanghai may be required from time to time.
 
REMUNERATION
This is an unpaid internship with the following non-cash benefits:
§ Transportation Card (monthly, 200rmb)
§ Phone Card (monthly, 100rmb)
§ Meals & Drinks (on weekly meetings and during trips)
§ Travel Expense (as needed)
§ Letter of Recommendation
§ Resume-Building International Business Experience
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities may be assigned individually or concurrently to you for varying periods of time during the term of this contract by the Dean:
§ Translation/Interpretation (both written and verbal)
§ Mandarin Instruction
§ Research & Data Collection
§ Communications (email, telephone, etc.) with Partners and Vendors
§ Student Services & Assistance
§ Marketing & Recruiting
§ Preparing Reports and Minutes
§ Hosting Guests & Delegations
§ Office Work, Errands and Tasks
§ University Projects & Initiatives
§ Social, Cultural, Educational and Logistic Support
